This Privacy Policy describes how Stowell Accounting & Tax, LLC ("the Firm") handles data accessed through its internal QuickBooks Online integration tool ("the Tool").
- What data is accessed: Transaction-level accounting data (vendor names, amounts, dates, memos, and account categories) from a client's connected QuickBooks Online company file, accessed solely with that client's authorization.
- How data is processed: Transaction classification is performed using a locally-run AI model operated on Firm-owned hardware. Client financial data is not transmitted to any third-party AI service, advertiser, or data broker.
- Where data is stored: Data remains within the Firm's own systems for the purpose of delivering accounting and advisory services. It is not sold, rented, or shared with unrelated third parties.
- Data retention: Data is retained consistent with the Firm's standard client record retention practices and applicable professional standards.
- Revoking access: Clients may disconnect the Firm's access to their QuickBooks Online data at any time via their QuickBooks Online account settings.
